I am just checking in to report that I can see my breath up in my sewing room. Yes, it's that cold. We are trying so hard to save money this winter on our gas and electric bill. Last year it was outrageous at this time of the year and we usually keep our thermostat at 65 degrees! So, we are just heating the downstairs and that room above the garage that I fondly call my craft room is closed off and freezing. So, until I come up with a good plan to heat up that room or move all my supplies downstairs, I am only to dream about what I would like to make!!
Yikes Traci! We are in the 50's in Florida and I thought that was cold! Try to stay warm!
ReplyDeleteoh MY!!! That's horrible, but I'm impressed! I always hated it when my mom said, "put on a sweater"...since I'm always cold. But I'm sure you're saying a lot of that over there!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Brrrrrrr.....I don't blame you one bit!!
ReplyDeleteWe do the same. I use a portable space heater. They are electric and do a fantastic job of heating up a closed space for not much electricity. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Carol, the electric heaters are great and I think are under $20.
ReplyDeleteWe too (after a major bill last year) are keeping the house cold. But 65 would be warm for us. We are keeping the house at 55. We have two space heaters that we carry around with us and use when we find a place to sit.
ReplyDeleteIm feeling the chill too, I use one of those fake little fireplaces that blows out heat and its amazing what that thing can do.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you'll have to resort to old fashioned paper and a good "blood" pen. Hang in there snowflake!! : )
ReplyDeleteoh my! we' try to keep thermostat down and did really well a few years in a row, but I have to admit that this year I've been a bit of a baby. But we're warmer here so the bills haven't been too bad (yet).
ReplyDeleteI just have to say that where I come from this winter we have had approximately 3 weeks of where the temperature has reached minus 45 with the windchill!!!
