new bracelet

I am not a fancy person, so when my five year old son came down stairs from craft room with this for me, I fell in love.  I wore it all day.  He said it was because he, "loved, loved, loved me." Seriously, with a reason like that, I think I will even wear it tomorrow too.  Later he sang a song he recorded on my husband's iphone that was a tune about loving me too.  You have to know this child to know that this behavior is a bit unusual and I am wondering what I can do to make it stay.  Any ideas?

Oh, that's so cute.
I am the same way with jewelry. Once my then 6 year old son made a bracelet with clear jewelry cord and five white and yellow buttons. I still wear it even to work once in a while.
How to make it last?! Hmm? Good question.

How precious!!! You're a lucky mom :) My girls like jewelry too much to ever make anything for ME. Hehe. Maybe my boy will shower me with jewels.

I bet you wearing his bracelet and showering him with praise for being affectionate will do it. My five year old daughter has never liked to be affectioanate, but I am that way with her anyway. Over time she has had to accept it and now she is very affectionate as well. Hug them when they don't want you to, because they really do want you to... some kids (like anyone) just have stand-offish personalities. I think they just need the affection more really. Just my two cents, since you were asking. ;)

Take all of that "I love you, Mommy" stuff you can get - it doesn't last! Soon enough he'll be shouting "I HATE you!"

But this is surely sweet while it lasts....

that is seriously the sweetest thing. at Girl's Camp last year girls made me a little bracelette and I wore it all day. It wasn't cute but it was so cute to me. very endearing.
He did a GREAT job! Really, really sweet.

A bracelet like that is better than gold! It's like 24 carat pure love. Love the colors too. Gage is such a sweetheart.
